When baby Sebastian is born on 12/12/12 everyone around him starts to die. Soon, his mother realizes that her son is the spawn of Hell.
With December and "doomsday" fast approaching The Asylum Entertainment is getting set to release 12/12/12 on December 4th. The film opens with some sort of satanic sacrifice then it quickly shifts to a woman who is about to give birth to her baby. There is also a man in scrubs and a medical mask walking around the hospital looking for someone or something. You can easily figure out that the man is looking for baby Sebastian who is born on 12/12/12 making him the spawn of hell. After being born Sebastian feasts on a few of the doctors but to no surprise none of the cameras are working at the time and his mom, Veronica was passed out at the time so she and her husband are allowed to take the baby home.
There is really no need to go into anymore details here about the film, it's very similar to another film I am sure most have seen, "It's Alive." Story wise the film could of used a bit of work but it does have some good gore and effects. Acting wise Sara Malakul Lane does an excellent job playing the mother hell bent on protecting her child regardless of his evil ways and rest of the cast also gave good performances in the film.
This is Director, Jared Cohn's third film for The Asylum. The other two being "Hold Your Breath" and "Born Bad" which I think is the best of the three. There's not a lot new here that you haven't seen before but the film is fast paced and there's a few nice twists along the way as well to hold your interest till the very end, an ending I quite enjoyed by the way. Like I stated before with a little work on the script the film could of been much better but if you like horror and killer babies then I recommend checking it out, it's never really scary but it contains enough gore and suspense to make it entertaining.
Both the DVD and Blu-ray will be available on December 4th, you can pre-order the DVD HERE and the Blu-ray HERE.
