"200 MPH" is a film in the tradition of "Fast and The Furious" and "Gone in 60 Seconds." The story centers on Rick who has been accepted to college which makes him the first in his family to do so which has his friends and family excited for him but after his brother is killed during a street race with a local drug dealer Rick decides to take revenge by getting behind the wheel and challenging the dealer to what could be a deadly race. The drug dealer isn't his only problem though, his girlfriend dumps him because he is going to race, a local cop is demanding he throws the race so he can make some big cash and the drug dealer is stalking his girlfriend as well. If you liked the two films I mentioned above you should find "200 MPH" to be entertaining just don't expect the level of production those two had. The acting is a bit weak at times but as the story evolves you don't seem to notice it as much and the effects which are only used a few times in the film are a bit weak but again that's a small problem. If you like this sort of action film it does have something for everyone including good looking men and women, cool cars and some nice street racing action.

Again the film isn't perfect but for the budget it does a good job at staying entertaining and it does have a nice pace and several plot twists along the way to keep your interest. A little slow at first but it gets more interesting as the it moves along and like I said there's some nice eye-candy for everyone, just don't expect some big Hollywood production here and you are sure to enjoy it.
