Emma Neuman (Lexi Giovagnoli), a studious, straight-A student, has a problem. She has always done the right thing until her major crush, Chris (Carlo Marks) who happens to be the most popular guy in school, asks her to help him cheat on the history final in order to save his football scholarship. After helping a homeless woman, Emma is given a magical necklace which gives her three chances to see the consequences of her decisions. She has three charms and three chances!

"3 Times a Charm" follows Emma, straight-A student who always does the right thing but she has on flaw. She never seems to be about to take command of any given situation. And then there's Chris, the star of the high school football team. Chris can do anything on the field but when it comes to his schooling he's not very bright, or so it seems. When the high school finals arrive Chris is forced to either pass the test or lose his scholarship so he turns to Emma, a girl he never even notices or remembers her name. When Chris asks Emma to help him cheat on the finals she tells him ok but on her way home she runs into a homeless woman in the parking lot who seems to be having a hard time breathing, but Emma is just being tested because the woman is indeed a Pixie who then gives Emma a necklace with 3 charms on it each one will give Emma the chance to see the circumstances of her actions but she only gets 3 chances to do the right thing and win over Chris.

"3 Times a Charm" doesn't really offer anything new or ground-breaking but sometimes it's all about the execution and the end results. To me the film played out much like any other comedy/romance you might of seen Disney produce which isn't a bad thing. The film has plenty of humor and romance as well as a nice touch of fantasy. The humor comes from several different situations and several different characters like Emma's little brother who is always getting into trouble for pranking his sister or others at school. The romance of course comes from Emma and her long time crush on Chris and the fantasy comes from the magical necklace.

There's a lot to like here and the film will appeal to both men and women, there's lots of laughs and the story moves a long at a nice pace. The cast is also another reason the film is so good, Lexi Giovagnoli is both beautiful and extremely talented and she is perfect as Emma and Carlo Marks does a great job at playing the jock and not so bright student who Emma yearns to be with. The supporting cast all did a fantastic job as well.

"3 Times a Charm" isn't a great film but it doesn't try to be one either instead this is a very funny romance that will have you laughing throughout and after the movie finishes you will be left with a big smile on your face. I enjoyed the whole "Groundhog Day" scenario as well as the over-all message of doing the right thing that the film delivers. A cute, charming and often funny romance I recommend checking out.
