Jorpe and Norva travel from the deepest jungle of Northern Thailand to a mega-city to save the world.
Join the adventures of brother and sister Jorpe and Norva, from the deepest jungle of Northern Thailand to the chaotic mega-city to save the world. Jorpe is a gifted child able to speak directly with nature while Norva is an expert of local herbs and her tribe's martial arts. Both meet Sam, son of the President of Capital State, who is in Thailand to attend Scout camp but is lost in the foggy forest. Meanwhile, excessive global warming has attracted B.U.C.T. heat devils that have reproduced at an alarming rate and done great environmental damage, consuming the world's energy. To fight the crisis, world leaders decide to use a new weapon called the "Cool Bomb" against the B.U.C.T. devils. Only Jorpe, Norva and Sam know that there is another solution to save the planet. The Cool Bomb will in fact destroy mankind. Time is running out. And failure means the end of all human life on planet Earth!
"Adventure Planet" is an animated family adventure that sends out messages about taking care of our environment for both young and old.
The film was Directed by Kompin Kemgumnird and produced in Thailand. Do not go into this thinking you are going to see Pixar like animation or you are going to be left disappointed. "Adventure Planet" was not made with a high budget but the film and its story mean well. As far the kids go there is plenty of action and adventure to keep them glued to the TV, the film is lively, colorful and full of wonderful characters they will enjoy.
Adults are always a bit harder to please but if you go into it with an open mind I am sure you will enjoy it as well. I thought the film was a little preachy in regards to the environment but I also understand the importance of educated the young.
I already mentioned that the film has a bunch of likable characters but I also want to add that the cast of voice actors all did a great job bringing them to life including, Jane Lynch, Danny Glover, Brooke Shields, Bailee Madison and Drake Bell.
I enjoyed this film quite a bit and I believe the kids will enjoy it even more. The film is available on DVD, you can order it HERE.
There can never be enough films like this the entire family can enjoy together but this one adds a little something more because after it is over you can talk to your children about how to take care and save our planet, those are lessons we all need to learn so bravo to the filmmakers for making a fun yet educating family film.
