Alone on Halloween, a young woman finds a mysterious VHS tape on her doorstep—a tape that shows a series of gruesome and ghastly tales that appear to be all too real. But these terrifying glimpses of damned souls are not the only horrors that stalk her. A sinister, pumpkin-faced killer is using the videotape as a portal into our reality; and if he makes it through, this twisted trickster seeks only one "treat": Blood.

This is a sequel to "All Hallows Eve," like the first film it follows a similar story line using a number of short films a long the way. This one tells the story of a young woman who is alone on Halloween, when she hears strange noises outside she looks out her open and sees a man standing outside with a pumpkin mask on. After she goes to look outside, she finds an old VHS tape on her steps. She then puts the tape inside her VCR and is presented with a number of short horror films, in between them she gets a glimpse of the man in a pumpkin mask.

Like I said this follows the same story line as the first film except this one doesn't have as scary a villain and the Short Films used in this one were not as good as in the first and not all of them followed the Halloween theme. I liked the idea of a sequel here but it just pales in comparison. The film has its moments and there are several good shorts in this collection but it is missing the mystery and suspense the original film had plus the clown made for a much more frightening villain.

"All Hollows Eve 2" probably looked good on paper but it just seems like an unnecessary sequel to a very good original film. Like I said before it had its moments but it ultimately falls short in the end. Available on DVD, you can order it HERE.
