Based on the TRUE EVENTS of the most haunted house in England. In 1900, the young Reverend Henry Bull and his sister Kitty have taken over duties of the family home. They start to encounter terrifying paranormal activity. To protect their Mother and sisters from the demonic intrusion they must call upon the services a family friend who will help discover the origins of the ghosts that haunt Borley Rectory.
'Borley Rectory: The Awakening' is the third install in the horror franchise. In the film Harry Bull leaves the dome and duties to his son Henry. Every is going well until his four sisters pays a visit which awakens the home's evil past as the ghosts seem determine to get revenge and expose the rectory's secrets. As the haunting get more intense Henry and his sisters must find out why it is all happening before the become victims themselves.
'Borley Rectory: The Awakening' is an entertaining horror film that is both engaging and at times frightening. The mystery behind the haunting and the secrets that were kept for so long will be slowly revealing leading to disturbing answers. It is a well written and directed tale that will keep you glued to your seat while you wait to find out what terrible things happened inside the walls of this building.
The cast was terrific including, Julian Glover, Patsy Kensit, Helen Lederer, Vicki Michelle and Mark Wingett. It was nice to see Patsy Kensit again since it has been a long time since I have seen her in a movie.
'Borley Rectory: The Awakening' is a very good horror/mystery that that has a strong cast, great story and plenty of frightening moments which make it a perfect film for the Halloween season so be sure to check it out when it has its digital release in the USA on October 7th, and a UK DVD and digital release on October 13th.
