Lu, Shen Lian, and Yichuan. Three sworn brothers, and deadly Jinyiwei – Secret Police of the Imperial Guard.

The new Emperor’s first mission - find and annihilate the corrupt fugitive Eunuch Wei and his followers.

"Brotherhood of Blades" is an excellent martial arts film filled with lots of intrigue, drama and swordplay. I was a bit concerned at first about the film's run time, at almost two hours I was worried that it would become boring but it never does. There is plenty of things happening and there are many characters involved in the story as well even though a few are never really developed enough to care about.

As far as action/adventure goes this is right up there with some of the best. I found the story to be easy to follow and the main characters were easy to have feelings for which is important with a drama such as this. The fight scenes were amazing but I have come to expect that from Asian cinema and the direction by Lu Yang was spot on.

The cast did a great job playing their roles and the film looks and sounds amazing. As always the production values are top notch. So over-all I really enjoyed this and recommend to all martial arts fans, I did have a few issues with the film but none worth talking about.
