Filmmaker Michael Moore (Sicko, Fahrenheit 9/11) takes on capitalism's roots, the floundering U.S. economy, and 2008's global financial meltdown and subsequent bank bailout in this rousing documentary. Combining stories about those who suffer most from Corporate America's greed and insatiable thirst for profits and the people most responsible for myriad crises, Moore embarks on another shocking fact-finding rampage.
This new Michael Moore documentary traces the roots of our current financial crisis. All of his films are going to generate different opinions from everyone, some people will think he hits the nail on the head and will feel he is a great activist while others will think he loads his movies with false statements or spins them to only suit the views he wants the audience to see. Either way there is no denying the fact that his films make for good conversation pieces and are at least thought-provoking. Moore takes aim at CEOs who helped create the mess in this country rather than the government, it doesn't seem fair that one person makes so much money while the rest of us suffer is one of the basic themes. It doesn't matter what side of the fence you are on since the film highlights the corruption that is going on in today's capitalistic society. What Moore does is urge us all in America to take back the country that has been taken over by the greedy. Like anything political this is something you can talk about all day and night and never really agree 100% on with those around you. It seems to me that Moore is one film maker people either love and buy into or hate and never agree on any of his views so I say if you enjoy any of his films before you might want to take a look at this one as well. I thought it opened some eyes to some real problems and it left me thinking after it was over for that I say it is worth a watch to those that find this kind of material interesting. Also don't miss the credits on this one because there are some more interesting facts included in them as well. Moore always seems to find a way to create a lot of talk with his films and he succeeds all the time at doing so which is why I will give it high ratings and not because I buy into everything he has to say all the time.
