A wild, party-night out leads three twenty-something women to stumble on a suitcase with 3 million dollars in cash. After a gruesome, gang-land shootout where everybody dies, the girls step in and walk away with all the money. In a frantic attempt to keep it all, the girls hatch a plan to smuggle it out of the country. But things get more complicated when one of the women mentions their plan to her boyfriend who owes money to a violent, underworld crime boss. Now, everybody is after the girls' cash and one misstep will affect all their lives forever. Greed, jealousy, and betrayal threaten to break the friends apart, but in an intense final showdown, they face off against the criminals and each other...and nobody can predict who will walk away.

"Concrete Blondes" follows Kris Connifer, her lover/roommate, Tara and their other roommate, Sammi. One night Tara and Sammi are out attending a rave, the problem is they are not sure where it is being held. They stumble into a warehouse where a drug deal gone bad has happened and now they are in possession of three million dollars. Kris, the more level headed of the three girls decide they should but the money away until they come up with a plan to get her rid of it in Mexico perhaps. But Tara and Sammi are both slackers so it doesn't take long before Sammi's loser boyfriend finds out and wants the money to pay off his debt to his mob boss and then skip town but it also doesn't take long before the boss finds out as well and decides he wants all the cash for himself. No all hell is about to break loose.

They make a lot of these comedy/crime films, some have been really good while others have failed miserably so I went into this one not expecting a lot but I was feeling very pleased about what I just watched.

The film has a nice mix of action, suspense and comedy that all blend perfectly together making it a very entertaining film. Acting wise everyone did a fantastic job in the film including Carly Pope, Samaire Armstrong, Diora Baird and John Rhys-Davies, no one actor steals the show there is not one weak link either. This was much better than I expected it to be and it is sure to please action and comedy fans alike.

The DVD doesn't come with anything extra besides the Trailer but it is worth checking out regardless.

You can order the DVD HERE.

I highly recommend checking out this delightful little crime film.
