Four drug kingpins deal with inner turmoil, familial strife, and heightened stakes while taking a chance on a risky business proposition of organ trafficking.

"Dead Money" is a film about four drug kingpins who take on a new business that is much bigger than they expected. Kwan, Deuce, Dexter and Theo get involved with Tiger and funeral home operator Leon who happens to be an ex-surgeon, He introduces the guys to the underground world of organ trafficking.

Loyalties will be tested between families, friends and business partners.

"Dead Money" is an Indie crime drama that shows its lack of budget that it is the realistic, believable story and cast that takes in up another level. The film is filled with plenty of lies and deceit as well as plenty of intense drama and suspense.

One of things that stood out about the film for me was that the story dealt with the personal side of the business and not the celebrity side of it you see in other films like it. Like I already said the film does suffer from its low budget but with a story like this one that stays firmly grounded and a cast that delivers on the characters "Dead Money" rises above any of the flaws it may have.

A crime drama this realistic needs a cast that can deliver and everyone in the film does a deliver job including, Tonya Sole Lumpkin, Walter Maxfield Jones, Che G. Evans, Joe Weaze Carter, Demetrius Parker and they always amazing Clifton Powell. Powell in particular gives a fantastic performance as the mastermind behind the new business venture.

The bottom line is that "Dead Money" isn't a perfect film but it's a gritty, realistic and human look at how easy it is to lose your way when money and greed become the main focus. I enjoyed this little crime drama and I have to give it to Writer/Director, Frank E. Jackson Jr., this is his best film to date and I look forward to seeing what he has coming out next. If you like a good crime drama then I highly recommend checking this one out, you will be glad you did.
