Heavy Metal, lots of laughs and plenty of gore, what more can anyone want? Welcome to "Deathgasm," a new horror/comedy from Director, Jason Lei Howden. The story is pretty simple, Brodie is the new kid in town after he is forced to go live with his Aunt and Uncle when his mother is put in a mental home. Brodie is also a metal head and his uncle is a devoted Christian so right away there is conflict going on but most of the family problems comes from his cousin who is the town jock and who happens to be dating the one girl Brodie has eyes for, Medina who just happens to be the hottest girl in town. One day while visiting the local record shop Brodie meet’s Zakk, the two hit it off immediately because both share the love of Metal. But when they get hold of sheet music to a song called, Black Hymn they decide to play it and claim it as their own but what they do not know is when played the song unleashes a horde of demons looking to take over the world. Now the three must band together and fight with whatever they can come up with against a town full of demons in order to save themselves as well as all of mankind.

Like I already stated, the plot here is simple which makes it a bit tough to talk about without ruining parts of the movie for those waiting to see it and I do not want to do that here because this is perhaps the most bad-ass movie I have seen in a long time. Everything about the film is so over the top and crazy, even if you are not a fan of metal music you are going to fall in love with "Deathgasm." Why? Well because it the sickest, most twisted gore fest I have seen and it is hilarious as well. For example what movie have you seen where the heroes are beating to death a bunch of demons with a dildo stash they found? That's right you probably never seen something so nuts before.

To be honest when I sat down to watch this I wasn't really expecting a whole lot but it turned out to be the most fun I had watching a movie in a long time. Sure it is not going to be for everyone but if you are a fan of horror/comedy and especially love Indie horror then I highly recommend checking it not this Friday when it opens in theaters and comes to VOD. I can only imagine how much fun it is going to be watching this on the big screen with a bunch of other people. You can find out where the film will be playing by visiting the Official site HERE.

Heavy metal music with the face paint to match, laughs around every corner and enough gore to please all horror fans makes this a must see. Director, Jason Lei Howden is no stranger to film making but this is his first feature film as writer and director and he hit the jackpot.

And last but not least, with a film this outrageous you need a cast that is going to be able to pull off these characters and everyone in the film did a fantastic job including the three main leads. Milo Cawthorne is brilliant as Brodie. This is the second straight film I saw him in and I cannot wait to see what he appears in next. James Blake is also fantastic in his feature film debut and Kimberley Crossman is as talented as she is beautiful. She really kicks ass in the film. All three all amazing and show great chemistry together. The entire supporting cast did a fantastic job as well. "Deathgasm" has been wowing audiences around the world and winning numerous awards along the way and for good reason. I cannot recommend seeing this goretastic funfest enough.
