A documentary that tells the history of the ill-fated movie version of the Fantastic Four that was executive produced by Roger Corman.

DOOMED! The Untold Story of Roger Corman's THE FANTASTIC FOUR explores through extensive interviews with the cast and crew, the circumstances surrounding the legendary cult classic and "lost" Roger Corman film, THE FANTASTIC FOUR.

The big budget Fantastic Four film hit theaters back in 2005 but long before that there was another Fantastic Four film that began shooting. The problem is the film was never intended to be seen. What a strange story behind this Roger Corman produced film that was done for one million dollars. Now the Documentary, "Doomed: The Untold Story of Roger Corman's The Fantastic Four" is set for release. Director, Marty Langford does an amazing job telling the story of the making of the film and setting things straight as to why the film never saw the light of day.

The film features the stars, Jay Underwood who played Johnny Storm, Alex Hyde-White who played Reed Richards, Michael Bailey Smith who played Ben Grimm and Rebecca Staab who played Susan Storm. The film also has appearances by Corman and many other people that were involved in the film in one way or another.

By now everyone that wanted to see the film probably has because at some point bootleg copies of the movie began showing up at conventions and before anyone knew it the film was everywhere. In a way this was a good thing because fans got to see the film even if it wasn't the quality one might expect. I loved this documentary, it got my interest right from the start and I remained engaged all the way to the end. The story made me laugh at times but it also made me sad and even a bit angry for everyone involved in making the film under some very tough conditions. They all poured their hearts into making the best possible superhero film they possibly could on such a small budget.

As much as the film was a passion project for all involved this Documentary by Director, Marty Langford was as well and it too had a few things to overcome before getting released. Langford doesn't leave anything out. You can tell by watching the film that he was determined to tell the complete story. He did a fantastic job and he really did his research which really pays off.

I am not going to sit here and go into major behind the scene’s details here so not to ruin the film for those wanting and waiting to see it. "Doomed: The Untold Story of Roger Corman's The Fantastic Four" will be released on 10/11/2016 and if you are a fan of the never released film that was actually better than the big budget film that followed then I highly recommend checking this out. I really enjoyed this film and I hope it plays a part in the movie getting an official release some day. Bravo to Director, Marty Langford and everyone else involved in setting the record straight.
