Music makes the voices stop. That s what Jim (Jake Hoffman) wants most to hide away in his apartment, mixing original dubstep beats as a soundtrack to the insanity of daily life. But it s not working too well lately. His brother (Thomas Dekker) bullies him into pursuing social worker Wendy (Nikki Reed), and their intimate encounter sparks an obsession that turns Jim into a human time bomb. Also starring Scott Bakula, Jason Priestley, and Gina Rodriguez, ENTER THE DANGEROUS MIND is a terrifying study of mental illness, and the destruction unleashed when you finally SNAP.

"Enter The Dangerous Mind" tells the story of Jim, a young man that does his best to stay away from people. He finds solace at his apartment where he works on dubstep beats. Jim has a huge online following but he is not very good around people. That all changes when he meets Wendy, the two hit it off pretty good at first but Wendy calls it off soon after because of Jim's strange behavior. If that was not enough to send him off the rails his half brother is always bullying him as well. His meds and his music was once a safe haven for Jim but neither is very effective anymore as the voices in his head get louder and louder leading Jim over the edge. It It is a result of something happened to Jim when he was little that triggered his mental illness and it has led him down a path of self destruction.

I was not sure what to make of this film at first but it does not take long to draw you into Jim's world which is a frightening one say the least. The story moves at a nice pace but it takes its time with the story, giving a little information at a time. You do a lot of guessing but you do not find out what happened to Jim when he was young until late in the film. The film also tosses in several twists towards the film. The film is a thriller but there is a good bit of mystery to it as well that keeps you on the edge and guessing the entire time.

A disturbing, twisted and utterly frightening film that gets in your head and it stays there long after it is over. Production wise the film looks and sounds great and the music Jim creates acts at times like a character itself. Speaking of characters, the film gets a big boost from its cast which includes, Jake Hoffman as Jim, Nikki Reed and Thomas Dekker to name a few.

The film is available on DVD and Blu-ray with Special Features that includes:
