After making it's Festival rounds "Horrid", an Indie zombie film from Writer/Director, James Pronath finally makes it's way to DVD this week. Like any other low-budget film there are obvious limitations that are visible here but for the most part the production is very good including the photography and the make-up. The film starts off a little slow while it introduces everyone to it's characters and while it sets up the story but once the action kicks in it provides plenty of gore and nudity that is sure to please all fan's of the genre, plus it doesn't stop till the credits begin to roll. Over the last few years there has been so many zombie films made that I lost count but "Horrid" brings a fresh approach to the genre and a story that is original while staying true to what everyone expects from the walking dead. I was impressed with the film in almost every aspect, even the acting which is usually one of the downfalls in a low-budget film is very natural and even good for the most part.
