There's really no need for much of a set-up here, the film is about going inside the minds, dressing rooms and stories of your everyday comic. It sheds some light on what they have to deal with on a day to day basic from heckling fans to dressing rooms and hotel rooms from hell. The film is funny, it contains interviews with some famous comics who talk about what it was like when they were paying their dues to get to where they are today. Funny at times yet captivating and even a bit sad what these men and women go through everyday to make us laugh. To give too much away about the stories that are told would only ruin the film for those waiting to see it but I found it to be interested, hilarious at times and Fascinating as well. I Am Comic takes us inside the minds and lives of of these comics, people that make us laugh everyday , you realize after watching this you take granted what these people do because it seems so simple but they lead a hectic life in more ways than one. I recommend this to every fan of stand-up, it is really an amazing look at not only just how funny these talented people are but it also takes you inside the lives of these men and women and I got to say it opened my eyes to the business. I loved watching this and had many laugh out loud moments, in a way it's a stand-up within a stand-up...either way I loved this film and highly recommend it to everyone.
