Mike Regan (Pierce Brosnan) is a successful, self-made man who has it all: a gorgeous wife, a beautiful teenage daughter and a sleek, state-of-the-art “smart home.” But he soon finds himself in a deadly, high-stakes game of cat-and-mouse when his I.T. consultant, Ed (James Frecheville), starts using his skills to stalk Mike’s daughter and endanger his family, his business, and his life. In a world where there is no privacy, and personal secrets can go viral by the click of a mouse, Mike needs to rely on his old connections to defeat a new kind of nemesis.

"I.T." tells the story of Mike Regan, a very successful business man who has it all, a beautiful wife and daughter and a business that is about to go to the next level. During an important meeting he has a technical problem during a presentation. A young intern I.T. guy steps in and saves the day. Mike in turn invites Ed to his house to look at his internet service which has been lacking lately and even gives him a job in his business. That proofs to be a bad mistake because Ed starts coming around unannounced and begins communicating with his daughter as well. After several incidents’ Mike decides to fire Ed which ignites Ed's crazy side.

"I.T." isn't a perfect film, it does have its share of short comings as far as the plot goes but for the most part it is a fun film to watch. One of the first things I shook my head at was when they introduced us to Pierce Brosnan's character, Mike Regan. They say he is a 52-year-old business man. It is small detail that means very little but to try and pass Brosnan off as 52 is a bit much. Besides that and some unrealistic plot details the film is a fast paced hi-tech thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat in the second half as you wait to find out what is going to happen next.

The film slowly begins to get more intense and suspense as it moves along. Once Ed feels rejected, he starts to mess with Mike's business and home security system but things escalate once he takes it to a personal level. I am not going to go into any major plot details so not to ruin the film for those of you wanting to see it but I will say that the film does get better as it moves along and exciting as it gets slower to its pulse pounding climax.

The cast did a great good job playing their roles including, Pierce Brosnan and Anna Friel as as Mr. and Mrs. Regan but for my money the star of the film is James Frecheville who is terrific as the hi-tech lunatic hell bent on destroying Mike's business and family. The supporting cast all did a great job in the film as well. "I.T." will be on VOD September 20th and in Theaters on September 23rd. If you like a good thriller then I recommend checking it out. The film has a lot to offer including drama, action and lots of suspense. It also brings up issues about our privacy with the internet and social media.

Not a perfect film but an entertaining one that should please fans of the genre. I enjoyed it and thought it was a fun ride.
