In JAKOB’S WIFE, Anne is married to a small-town minister and feels like her life and marriage have been shrinking over the past 30 years. After a chance encounter with “The Master,” she discovers a new sense of power and an appetite to live bigger and bolder than before. As Anne is increasingly torn between her enticing new existence and her life before, the body count grows and Jakob realizes he will have to fight for the wife he took for granted.

Marital Bliss, it is something we all hope to have. Anne who is married to a minister doesn't have it. After all the years they have been married Jakob takes his wife for granted and at times it is like she isn't even there. But that all changes when a dark force comes to town.

After falling victim to a vampire Anne begins to feel more alive than ever and her husband is finally taking notice. But is it too late or can he life the love he has for his wife and save her from the master?

'Jakob's Wife' is an entertaining vampire flick with an outstanding cast including Barbara Crampton as Anne and Larry Fessenden as her minster husband. The film does get off to a slow start and things don't really heat up until later on but it still keeps you entertained with its dark humor/romance or lack there of. The film doesn't take itself seriously so there is a good bit of humor throughout mixed with lots and lots of blood spilling later on.

I had a good time watch this Indie gem. I am not sure why but in some ways it reminded me of the original 'Fright Night' and that is a compliment. 'Jakob's Wife' will be available on DVD and Blu-ray on July 20, 2021 with Special Features that include:

The Making Of Jakob’s Wife

If you like your horror with a bit of comedy sprinkled in then be sure to check it out.
