An enthusiastic young adventurer follows his dreams into the Amazon jungle with two friends and a guide with a mysterious past. Their journey quickly turns into a terrifying ordeal as the darkest elements of human nature and the deadliest threats of the wilderness lead to an all-out fight for survival.

'Jungle' tells the story of Yossi Ghinsberg, a Israeli adventurer, author, entrepreneur, humanitarian, and motivational speaker based in Australia. The film tells his story of survival when in 1981 he got stranded alone in an uncharted part of the Bolivian Amazon jungle for three weeks.

The film is based on the international best-selling memoir. 'Jungle' is a drama, adventure, action film and it pretty much plays out in the order but overall it is mostly a dramatic account of Yossi's time stranded in the jungle and what he had to endure. Some of the things he had to deal with and eat are a bit disturbing at times.

The film's biggest strengths are it's location and it's cast. The locations are both beautiful and breathtaking and the cast does an amazing job playing the characters. Daniel Radcliffe in particular gives a strong and powerful performance as Yossi. He handles the role perfectly both emotionally and psychically. The rest of the cast including, Thomas Kretschmann and Alex Russell all give terrific performances as well.

The film itself isn't perfect, for starters I think it could have been a bit shorter than its hour and 55 minutes run time but it does have a lot going for it. 'Jungle' is the ultimate story of survival, against all odds’ Yossi was alone without food or shelter in the amazon jungle for three full weeks. Luckily his friend he was with when he got stranded never gave up on finding him.

The film starts off a bit slow as we are introduced to Yossi and the rest of the characters that will play an important part in the story including Karl, a man who lies to Yossi about there being gold in the rivers in order to get him and his buddies to go on the adventure with him. No one is sure what Karl's motive was but he was never seen again and was wanted by local police.

If you like a good adventure and drama then I highly recommend check this one out. The fact that it is based on a true story makes it that much more alluring. 'Jungle' is a film that will keep you interested and engaged the entire time so be sure to check it out when it opens in Theaters and on VOD October 20th.
