Dakota and Axel’s relationship is a toxic mess. She knows it, everybody does… except Axel.

The only thing is, until Dakota tries to break up with Axel, she doesn’t know how truly toxic it will become.

The mere idea of splitting up causes Axel to become intensely ill, sprouting grotesque black veins and excreting a strange sticky liquid. His touch burns flesh and his need to hang onto Dakota becomes irrationally powerful.

Nobody is going to take her away from him, not even the paramedics that Dakota calls to deal with Axel’s rapidly worsening condition.

The two grapple with what remains of their once passionate relationship - and how what was built on sexual passion and punk rock could end with blood spilt, lives lost and at least one heart broken, literally.

Dakota and Alex thought they had a special relationship filled with fulfilling their wildest sexual fantasies. But when the relationship begins to sour things take a deadly turn as Alex becomes sick and toxic. A fight to the end will ensue leading to a tragic end.

'Kill Your Lover' is a drama about a relationship that is nearing its end. The film is an adult dram/thriller that slowly turns into a full blown horror flick. This is definitely an adult film so make sure there are no kids around. The film has a number of sex scenes and adult conversations and as a horror film it kicks ass.

The small cast does a fantastic job but it is Paige Gilmour who plays Dakota and Shane Quigley-Murphy who plays Alex that take the film to another level. Both are terrific in the film and have great chemistry together making the film that more intense.

I never read into films I receive to review because knowing too much can ruin a film and it really paid off here. My hat go off to Alix Austin Keir Siewert, the writers and directors of the film. They took a simple premise and turned in into a suspenseful, tension filled horror film that is brutal and horrifying. It is one film fans are going to love especially if you like your horror violent. I highly recommend checking out the Indie gem when it opens in Theaters and on Digital/VOD Platforms on June 7th.
