Greek-American travel guide Georgia is so distracted by what's going wrong as she leads a motley crew of tourists through some of Greece's most historic sites that she almost misses out on a chance for romance with her hunky bus driver.

The reviews for this have been average at best but I was still eager to see this one simply because it has Richard Dreyfuss and Nia Vardalos in it. The story is simple and a predictable but it was written well for what it is and contains enough laughs to keep you entertained. The makers of the film might of been hoping the success of "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" would help this one since it also contains the same star but it fell flat as far as reaching the success they might of wanted but this is one of those movies that ends up doing very well on home video and with strong word of mouth by mostly females I would think this will do very well. Nia Vardalos and Alexis Georgoulis were terrific together and made a great on screen couple, also Richard Dreyfuss is amazing and funny as always, this man just isn't in enough movies anymore. The supporting cast which is made up of some zany characters all were great as well. The cinamatography showed off the lush, beautiful scenery of Greece, it took on a life on it's own and kind of became another character and it really helped with keeping the movie lively, plus it felt like I was taken away on a little vacation. The film is about finding love when you least expect it, something everyone can relate to since love is universal to all of us. Even if "My Life in Ruins" is not a classic it is still a cute, charming and funny romantic comedy that I recommend to any fan of the genre. The film is being release on Blu-ray and DVD each packed with Special Features that include:
