A telephone psychic is pulled into a complex web of mystery when she receives a call from a serial killer.

'Night Caller' tells the story of telephone psychic Clementine Carter who gets pulled into a complex web of mystery when she receives a call from a serial killer. Predicting his murders before he commits them puts her into a terrifying game of cat and mouse. Enlisting the aid of her invalid father and clairvoyant co-worker, they must use their unique abilities to stay one step ahead of a maniac whose unspeakable acts in the present are nothing compared to his past and future.

'Night Caller' is a serial killer/gorefest from Writer/Director, Chad Ferrin. He must have a great love for older horror films because a number of them are showcased in the film through Clementine's disabled fater who watches them while she is at work. The film wastes no time getting started which immediately gets the audience engaged in the mystery that slowly unfolds during the course of thefilm.

Director, Ferrin obviuosly pays homage to the old grindhouse gore films from the past but besides that I got a "Halloween meets Psycho" vibe from it as well. The film does a great job of hiding the idenity of the killer until the final act and it introduces a nice twist as well which leaves the film open for a sequel which I hope happens.

The acting was solid from a mostly well known cast including, Steve Railsback, Bai Ling, Lew Temple, Robert Miano and Susan Priver who is excellent as Clementine. 'Night Caller' is a horror/thriller that not only gives off a nostalgic feel but its also a creepy, fightening and suspenseful blood fest that leaves you wanting more.

'Night Caller' will be available on Digital HD and Cable VOD May 13. If you enjoy horror then I highly recommend checking out this gem.
