When world wrestling champion Rip Thomas (WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan) refuses to join a competing network, an evil executive creates a new program, "The Battle of the Tough Guys," where rules don't exist and men engage in an all-out brawl for money. After a murdering ex-convict by the name of Zeus (Tommy ‘Tiny’ Lister, The Dark Knight) comes out on top as the toughest man, an ultimate title match with Rip is the TV network's best chance for big ratings. But when Rip refuses the challenge and his brother is roughed-up as a consequence, the world champion has no choice but to teach Zeus a lesson in a final ‘No Holds Barred’ fight to the finish.

The WWE has really moved into the movie business in recent years and some of their wrestlers have gone on to big success on the silver like "The Rock." But "No Holds Barred" goes back to the 80's. After appearing in Rocky III a TV movie and a series Hulk Hogan was cast as the lead in his own film as WWF champion, Rip Thomas. I am not going to go into major plot details here because most fans have seen this movie over and over again. Plus I do not want to ruin any of the fun for those that never had the chance to see it.

I will be honest there and say that this is not a great film, hell it is not even a good one. It is corny ans just plain bad but that is why it is so much fun. How can anyone not love the charm and personality that was Hulk Hogan?

Now for the first time ever, "No Holds Barred" is available on Blu-ray with Special Features that include:

Summerslam Match (8/28/1989) Zeus & ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage w/Sensational Sherri vs. Hulk Hogan & Brutus Beefcake w/Miss Elizabeth.

‘No Holds Barred’ Steel Cage Match (12/27/1989) Zeus & ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage w/Sensational Sherri vs. Hulk Hogan & Brutus Beefcake.

Digitally Remastered and just in time because the Hulk recently returned home to the WWE, the place where it all began. He may not be able to wrestle anymore but he can certainly stir things up with his personality alone. If you are a fan and want to add this to your collection you can do so now by ordering it HERE.

I had a blast revisiting this and I think old and new fans alike are going to love owning it as well.
