Every family has its secrets, and it's those secrets that come back to haunt banker Jack Bishop (Simon Baker) when the disappearance of his daughter, Toby (Chloe Moretz), disrupts his picture-perfect life in a Southwest border town. Forced to face his past, Bishop travels to Mexico and back into the thrall of his former faith the death-worshipping cult of Santa Muerte as he searches for Toby.

This is a one of those films that is really hard to talk about simply because they more you tell about it the greater the chances of you ruining the film for everyone else. The story is pretty basic, Bishop (Simon Baker) has created a quiet life for himself as father, husband and soccer coach in the Texas-Mexico bordertown of Del Rio. When his daughter disappears from practice and signs point to a kidnapping, we discover how much of Bishop's cozy suburban life has literally been created as his mysterious and shocking past becomes his means of searching for her. That is about all you need or should know before seeing this thriller. The film is dark yet colorful and it contains enough twists and turns along the way to keep you on the edge of your seat. This is a thinking man's thriller that will have you guessing and asking questions till the very end which by the way ss fantastic, you will never see the ending coming. You could compared this to a number of films if you wanted to like "8MM" and "History of Violence" and in some ways Not Forgotten is like those two movies but it is also an original and refreshing film on it's own. It is too bad this never got a wide release in theaters because I felt it was of the more intelligent flicks I have seen in some time. A Dark,Clever and twisty thriller that contains just the right amount of mystery and suspense to keep you wanting more. The cast including Simon Baker and Paz Vega are all fantastic, each and every actor and actress in the film does a great job at making their characters believable. With all the below average movies coming out nowadays it is refreshing to see a film that captivates and thrills like this one does. This is one film I recommending owning and bypassing the rental altogether. The movie is available on DVD and Blu-ray and contains Special Features that include:

Audio Commentary with Co-Writer/Producer/Director Dror Soref and Co-Writer/Co-Producer Thomas Romero
