Michael King (Shane Johnson) doesn't believe in God or The Devil. Following the sudden death of his wife, the documentary filmmaker decides to make his next film about the search for the existence of the supernatural. Michael decides to make himself the center of the experiment - allowing demonologists, necromancers, and various practitioners of the occult to try the deepest and darkest spells and rituals they can find on him - in the hopes that when they fail, he'll once and for all have proof that religion, spiritualism, and the paranormal are nothing more than myth. But something does happen. An evil and horrifying force has taken over Michael King. And it will not let him go.

"The Possession of Michael King" Tells the story of Michael King. As the film opens we see a home video of Michael, his wife Samantha and their daughter Ellie. They are out having a good time at the park when Michael realizes the parking meter needs fed, but when he goes to put money in it his wife says she will do it. No one knew that it would put an end to her life.

Michael was never a believer in God or The Devil but his anger and grieve over losing the love of his life feeds his disbelief's even more. He then decides to make his next documentary what the supernatural so he can once and for all confirm that there is no such thing as God or The Devil but what happens next will terrify you.

I thought the film opened a little slow but I quickly became engaged in the story and was locked in until the frightening end. I have grown a bit tired of found footage movies and those about possession but I did enjoy this one.

The Possession of Michael King" is a small Indie film done on a very limited budget but it doesn't need fancy effects because it relies on its story and acting to carry it. The film brought its own ideas to the table and even though it does not break any new ground it certainly seemed fresh and original in many ways. After the film grabs your attention with Michael's obsession which leads to his possession the horror kicks in and there are plenty of spine-tingling moments as well as plenty of suspense and tension along the way.

To talk plot details would only ruin the surprises that await so I am not going to dwell into them here and I suggest you avoid reading a lot about the plot elsewhere as well but I will say that I really enjoyed the film. It gets under your skin and in your head rather quickly and it stays there till the terrifying end. It you like this type of horror film then I highly recommend checking this one out.
