Nicholas Hoult stars as Renfield, the tortured aide to history’s most narcissistic boss: Dracula (Nicolas Cage). For centuries, Renfield has slavishly served Dracula by procuring his master’s prey and doing his every bidding, no matter how debased. But now, Renfield is ready to look for a new life outside the shadow of The Prince of Darkness, if only he can figure out how to end the toxic, co-dependent relationship...

'Renfield' tells the story of Dracula and Renfield his assistant or slave. It takes place in modern times and it tells the story of Renfield who is sick and tired for doing for Dracula and looks to find a way out. But when a female cop and others in a bar are threatened but the local mafia he decides to help out which results in a lot more trouble for him.

Renfield didn't perform well in theaters but it got good reviews so I was eager to check it out. The film is a horror/ comedy that features action scenes scenes and lots and lots of cool kills and buckets of blood. I had a great time watching it and laughed through the film. Alot of what made it good was the cast or the 3 main cast members which includes, Awkwafina who plays the female cop who befriends Renfield, Nicholas Hoult who is outstanding as Renfield and Nicolas Cage who owns it as Dracula. He let out all his crazy and delivers in spades.

Maybe I shouldn't have enjoyed the film as much as I did but to me it is one of the best horror/comedies to come out in some time. It is well made and and it contains everything you would look for in a movie such as this. I also enjoyed the ending as well and love to see a sequel.
