In SEANCE, Camille Meadows is the new girl at the prestigious Edelvine Academy for Girls. Soon after her arrival, six girls invite her to join them in a late-night ritual, calling forth the spirit of a dead former student who reportedly haunts their halls. But before morning, one of the girls is dead, leaving the others wondering what they may have awakened.

'Seance' offers up a slasher film with a bit of the supernatural. That is about all its offers different from any other slasher film you have seen. That is either a good thing or a bad thing depending on your own taste. I am not going to go into anymore plot depends here because the synopsis above is all you really need before watching it.

The story offers up a few twists as it moves along but for the most part it is pretty predictable. And the motives used were pretty funny but not in a good way. But everything about the film wasn't bad, the mostly all female cast was good including Suki Waterhouse, Madisen Beaty and Ella-Rae Smith to name a few. There are several cool kills right toward the end as well.

'Seance' will be released on on DVD and Blu-ray on August 3, 2021. It will comes with Special Features that include:

If you like horror this one is worth at least a watch. With some script work it could have been a lot better but I am sure you have seen worse.
