The brutal former heavyweight boxing champion Cleon "Slammin'" Salmon (Duncan), now owner of a Miami restaurant, institutes a competition to see which waiter can earn the most money in one night: the winner stands to gain $10,000, while the loser will endure a beating at the hands of the champ.

If you are a fan of Broken Lizard and their other films including "Club Dread", "Super Troopers" and "Beer Fest" then this is a must-see. Their humor is something people either "get" or just don't find the humor funny but for the most part I have found their films to be pretty entertaining so I was looking forward to checking out this one. "Club Dread" was the least funny of their first three films, this one sits around where "Beer Fest" sits but it's not as good as as "Super Troopers" but to be honest I wasn't really expecting it to be and it was much better than I had hoped going into it. The story is simple enough and the film taking place just in the restaurant worked really well. Broken Lizard seem to be a bunch of comedians that just want to make people laugh and they seem to have a great time doing themselves as well. The vets are all here including Steve Lemme, Paul Soter, Erik Stolhanske and Jay Chandrasekhar but this film belongs to Michael Clarke Duncan, he is simply hilarious as the owner and he gets laughs every time he appears on screen, he provides some epic one-liners. Like I said before this isn't going to be for everyone but if you like these guy's other films then I highly recommend picking this one up as well. The first time I watched this I wasn't sure if I really liked it or not so I went back a second time and enjoyed it much better, this is one of those comedies that gets better with each viewing. If you are a fan of Black Lizard's other films and their brand of off the wall humor I highly suggest picking this new offering up. I just hope we don't have to wait as long for their next film to come out.

Released by Anchor Bay Entertainment.
