While visiting her grandparents in Los Angeles, Midwestern teen Jessica Olson (Danielle Campbell) gets an unexpected bonus when she crosses paths with pop star Christopher Wilde (Sterling Knight) -- the very guy her sister Sara (Maggie Castle) has been trying in vain to meet. But her starstruck encounter sours when Christopher shows up on national television, denying he ever met her.

A Disney Channel original movie which like most provides for some wholesome entertainment for it's targeted age groups. If you're familiar with the Disney channel hit series "Sonny with a Chance" then you already know that Sterling Knight is a fantastic young actor and this film is certainly going to make Danielle Campbell a household name as well, I see her being in many more films for Disney in the future. The story for the most part is original, there has been a few other movies similar in story before but most will find the film to be refreshing at least. The story is a fairy-tale of sorts but I am sure a lot of young teens dream of meeting their favorite stars and the film also provides good moral as well. At my age I don't watch the Disney Channel on a regular basis but my job does allow me to see a number of their films and I can say this is as good as all of the others I have seen and better than a number of them. I also enjoyed the soundtrack as well which has a number of very catchy songs in it. StarStruck certainly has a targeted audience of both young male and female viewers and I see it being a film they will watch multiple times. The film is available on DVD as a single disc, extended edition as well as a DVD/CD set. The DVD also comes packed with bonus features that include:

extended music scene featuring the song Got To Believe

music videos: StarStruck, Something About The Sunshine, Party Up, Rock Along, your chance to take center stage and sing along with the movie. StarStruck is a fantasy tale that will enchant your teens and it makes for some wholesome entertainment which is something we can never have enough of.
