A struggling father, played by Michele Morrone (The Next 365 Days) buys a domestic AI (Megan Fox - Transformers) to help run the household. But the situation soon turns deadly when the lifelike robot develops an obsessive attachment to her new owner. Driven by a twisted sense of loyalty, she becomes determined to eliminate what she perceives as the true threat to his happiness: his family.

'Subservience' tells the story of Michele Morrone and his wife, Maggie. When Maggie gets sick Michele decides to to buy a domestic AI to help around the house and take care of their two young children. Their daughter names their new help Alice and quickly begins to like her, but it isn't long before Alice begins to start acting strange and tempting Michele in a sexual way. As time goes by, she will do anything to protect her main user, even if it means putting his family in grave danger.

Megan Fox Hasn't had the career she was hoping for in Hollywood and is mostly in lower budget fare. 'Subservience' is one of those, but I was surprised to see that she actually did a very good job playing her role in the film. The rest of the cast, including Michele Morrone and Madeline Zima gave good performances as well.

The film is slow moving as the story plays out, but the action does pick up, and the final act is both exciting and thrilling. The film also adds some social commentary about what the future of AI could be, and it is definitely food for thought. 'Subservience' is the latest in this sort of sci-fi/thriller but over all I liked it and recommend it to any fan of the genre or of Megan Fox. The film will be on EST September 13th and TVOD from September 20th so be sure to check it out.
