It seems a lot people think of low-budget movies as something that isn't worth watching and that is sad because someone who is not only a supporting of Independent cinema but also a fan I can tell you there is a lot of good movies out there for those willing to open up to them. The Deed to Hell is one of those movies, shot on a shoe-string budget this is one of those movies that sneaks up on you and floors you. Independent filmmaker, Glenn Andreiev did a terrific job at using the resources available to him to create a film that is fast paced and one that keeps you guessing while you hang on to the edge of your seat. The film mixes a few genres together including, heist, a thriller/horror, and a family drama and it does it flawlessly bringing all the main characters together at the end. This is one of those films you don't want to talk about too much, it is better seen and experienced. The cast was terrific, each and every actor really brought their characters to life and made them believable. Classified as a horror but it is much more than that. It is an original film that is a thrill ride you will not soon forget. The end scene in hell is as fantastic as it is gory. The more I want to tell about the story itself is the more I am ruining a film worth seeing. The Deed to Hell had to be a labor of love for all involved and it translates back to the audience, the film can be a bit strange in that it has you wondering where it is taking you while introducing the different characters but stick with it and you will be rewarded in the end. Think Crash meets a Jason Bourne film on their way to hell and get this original and refreshing flick that hits all the right notes. An amazing job done on a small budget, everything from acting to the locations and the cgi and makeup work are all fantastic. Pick this up and give it a chance, you will not be disappointed.
