Down on their luck and needing some quick cash, struggling young lovers Tom and Eve lie about their relationship in order to enter THE MILLENNIUM PROJECT, an experiment for married couples run by the mysterious Director and Handler. With the promise of $50,000,Tom and Eve must survive 30-days isolated together in a futuristic smart home, while the researchers attempt to determine why couples fall out of love. Over the course of their stay, Eve begins a violent decent into madness as she questions if her lover really is the man she thinks he is.

'The Honeymoon Phase' tells the story of Tom and Eve, a young couple struggling to make ends meet. One day they see an ad that promises to pay $50,000 to married couples who agree to be part of a study that isolates couples together for 30 days in order to study how well they get along.

During the film's opening scene we see Tom being interviewed. He has that Eve committed suicide. It then cuts to the young couple and finds them moving through The Millennium Project's orientation phase. They have to make sure the answer certain questions the right way because this study is for married couples which they are not.

Things start off well and the couple seem to be having a great time but things slowly begin to unravel thanks in part to their handler who appears to them in a hologram form.

'The Honeymoon Phase' is a hard movie to talk about without spoiling it for those waiting to see it which I am not going to do here. The film is a Horror/Sci-fi/Drama that focuses on relationships and other issues like the role a woman has in a relationship and how well do you really known your partner.

It is an on the edge of your seat thriller that keeps the audience engaged and guessing what will happen next. It can also be a bit disturbing at times and it also looks at technology and how it can be used for all the wrong reasons.

'The Honeymoon Phase' is an entertaining for many reasons including its cast. Chloe Carroll is amazing as Eve. She gives an emotional and powerful performance. Jim Schubin also gives a fantastic performance as Tom and the rest of the cast were great as well.

I highly enjoyed this Indie gem, it is full of drama, suspense and tension and at times it is terrifying as well. I highly recommend checking it out now on Blu-ray and DVD. when Dark Sky Films releases it to theatrical/digital VOD on August 21st.
