Operating under the code name Icarus, the ordinary-seeming Edward Genn (Dolph Lundgren) was a feared assassin living a double life as a Soviet sleeper agent in the United States -- until the collapse of the communist regime left him "orphaned." But the past remains closer than he realizes, and when Edward's new life is suddenly turned upside-down, he must fight off a tide of professional killers determined to end his life and that of his family.

The Killing Machine isn't box office material but it doesn't pretend to be either, any time you see a new Dolph Lundgren movie you know right away what you are getting which is a hard-hitting action flick with not much of a plot to back it but I see nothing wrong with this type of entertainment. There's not much more to add as far as the story goes that isn't already written above without giving away anymore of an already thin plot. You pick a movie like this up for Dolph and action and what you get here is the always charismatic Lundgren and 80's style action that delivers on all accounts, bad guys, more bad guys, gun-fire, good blood spatter and some great hand to hand combat as well as some human elements in the film what more can you ask for? Hot off his role in "The Expendables" this Dolph Lundgren film is sure to fly off the shelves, this time around he not only stars in the film but he directed it as well and I thought over-all he did a pretty good job doing so. The film is full of action scenes that are brutal and at times bone crunching.

Time will tell but the end leaves you to believe there will be a sequel for this coming which is not a bad idea since the story easily allows room to expand on. So what you see is what you get here, if you're a fan of Dolph Lundgren and action films then I recommend checking out The Killing Machine, it delivers on what it advertises and then some. I had a good time watching this and look forward to seeing what is next for Lundgren. The DVD comes with Special Features that include:
