The story of an adult male who, after the successful removal of a benign tumor resting against his pituitary gland, experiences all the changes and effects of puberty over a three-week period.

"The Late Bloomer" is basked on author and E! News personality Ken Baker's incredible life story. Here are some fun facts about Ken Baker:

Ken Baker didn't hit puberty until he was a 30-year-old man!!

Baker unknowingly lived with a pituitary tumor that caused decades of sexual confusion and insecurities. A single surgery in his late 20s propelled him into adulthood, along with the instant flood of hormones and emotions associated with teenage years.

The film is based on Ken Baker's forthcoming book “The Late Bloomer: A Memoir of My Body" which will hit stands on September 27th.

The film also marks actor Kevin Pollak’s narrative directorial debut.

"The Late Bloomer" tells the story of a young man who is a very successful Sex Addiction Therapist. Peter Newmans is also a bit different and can't seem to get excited over women which leads to his friends and even his mom and dad to think he might be gay. But after a trip to the emergency room finds that he has a benign tumor pressing against his pituitary gland his life changes forever. The tumor was keeping Peter from entering puberty so once it is removed his life is turned upside down has he tries to control all his new feelings and urges that are flooding in.

I did watch the trailer to the film a few weeks back but I wasn't expecting the raunchy comedy I just watched and I mean that in a good way. This is a film for adults and it contains a ton of sex jokes and sexual situations so if that kind of stuff offends you I suggest you pass on this film.

The story is pretty straightforward and doesn't have a lot of substance but it is pretty hysterical at times and very entertaining. One reason for that is the dialogue which is sharp, witty and laughter inducing. I found myself laughing out loud multiple times during the film and it takes a lot to do that to me. Another thing that makes the movie good is the cast, Johnny Simmons is brilliant as Peter and Brittany Snow is amazing as Michelle, Peter's friend and love interest. But the cast doesn't stop there, everyone in the film is fantastic and they all are given a lot to work with including some very funny lines. Beck Bennett and Kumail Nanjiani are so funny as Luke and Rich, Peter's best friends. The two of them steal a lot of scenes in the movie. J.K. Simmons and Maria Bello are fantastic as well as Peter's dad and mom.

"The Late Bloomer has to be one of the raunchiest adult comedies I have seen in awhile and I really enjoyed it. There is one joke after another and the film also offer’s some romance as well. "The Late Bloomer" will be in select theaters and On Demand / Digital HD on October 7, 2016. If you like this type of comedy then I highly recommend checking it out, it is a laugh a minute and it has a cast that really delivers on their sometimes zany and over the top characters.
