After years of infertility, Robin and Daniel adopt Kathelia, a mute orphan with a dark past. But their dream turns to horror as eerie events unfold and Kathelia’s behavior grows unsettling. As an evil force takes hold, they must fight for their family—and their survival.

'The Other' tells the story of Kathelia a mute young irl with a very tragic and violent past. She lives in an orphanage after being returned once by an older couple. Now Robin and Daniel are about to welcome Kathelia into their home after Robin had four prior miscarriages. Things a little tough going at first due to lack of communicating with the young girl but They hope in time things will get better. But as days go by things start to get worse when weird things start happening around the house and knives and tools start going missing. Before long they will be in a battle for their life as Kathelia dark secrets begin to surface.

From the creator of FINAL DESTINATION, Jeffrey Reddick. A film by Paul Etheredge, writer/director of the indie horror classic HELLBENT is a film about an evil force that just wants to be freed from its entrapment. There is a lot going on and it will keep you engage and guessing as to what is going on and why did Kathelia's mother do the horrible things she did. Writer/Director, Paul Etheredge does a great job telling his story and setting up what later becomes an edge of your seat horror filled with action and plenty of blood and gore.

The cast did a fantastic job including, Olivia Macklin and Dylan McTee who are great as Robin and Daniel. Avangeline Friedlander gives a stand out performance as the young Kathelia. I must also mention Lily D. Moore who gives an incredible and creepy performance as Fiona.

'The Other' is a horror film that is fresh and unique and it provides everything a horror fan demands and deserves. It will get inside your, under your skin and it will leave you with a sense of dread long after it is over. I think it will quickly gain a following through strong word of mouth simply because it delivers.

'The Other' will be on Digital & On Demand just in time for friday the 13th so be sure to check it out. It is a horror fan's dream.
