Vengeance Delivered. Guaranteed. Steve Austin and Dolph Lundgren star in the bone-crunching action flick that delivers the goods: Austin is combat veteran Tommy Wick, a nightclub bouncer and stone-cold enforcer for a Seattle mob boss. Lundgren is `The German,' an international crime lord and hardcore killing machine. But when Wick is asked to courier a mysterious package to The German, he'll suddenly find himself hunted by relentless teams of hit men, mercenaries, assassins and sadists. Time is running out. The bodies are piling up. And for two very pissed-off men with a history of bad blood, the ultimate retaliation is about to be ripped wide open.

Tommy gets paid to do the dirty work for crime boss Big Doug. Working for Doug isn't a dream job for Tommy but he does it to pay off his brother Eddie's debt while he is in prison. One day Doug offers Tommy a way to settle his bro's debt once and for all by delivering a package to a man known only as The German. We know Tommy and The German had some sort of past together but the job seems simple enough, that is until Tommy finds out there are others out there willing to kill for the package.

"The Package" is pretty simple story-wise and easy to follow but it does have a few secrets it keeps to itself till later in the film as well as a few twists and turns. Acting wise Steve Austin plays Tommy pretty much the same way he has played all the characters he has played so far but that is what I expected and he is always fun to watch regardless. Toss in the always deadly yet charming Dolph Lundgren as The German and have yourself a very cool little action flick that does exactly what it promises, entertains.

The film looks great and the action scenes are very well done by Director, Jesse V. Johnson. I got what I was hoping for here and the film offers about the same entertainment as other Steve Austin films you might of seen except this one I thought had better action scenes than most like it due mainly to the director's hands on experience. "The Package" is a no-brainer, you certainly know what you are getting before putting the movie in and it doesn't disappoint. A solid action/thriller with a simple yet engaging story thanks to it's twists and turns as well as its enjoyable cast makes "The Package" an above average action film that fans of the genre are sure to enjoy.
