An upstanding pastor uncovers a dark and twisted underworld as he searches for answers surrounding his daughter's brutal murder. A high-octane original soundtrack and cameos from some of the biggest names in rock music set the tone as this horror-thriller reveals a game of revenge played using a new set of rules.
'The Retaliators' Is an action/horror/thriller that plays but its own rolls. The opening scene sets the tone for what is to come later but then it settles in and introduces us to the main characters including Bishop, an upstanding pastor who struggles to find meaning after his daughter is murdered by a murderous drug dealer. But when a local detective gives Bishop a chance at real revenge he cannot find the courage to execute it but when the imprisoned criminals escape the detectives own cage Bishop will have to find the ability to fight if he wants to survive the day.
The film is a blood-soaked revenge film that is so brutal it has to be called a horror film. I haven't seen a film this brutal in some time and even though it is not for everyone those that like their horror crazed and bloody this is going to be the film for you.
One problem the film has was keeping the flow going. It could have used some editing so as not to have a lull midway but once the action kicks into gear it becomes an "Evil Deadish" display of pure carnage. The production values are excellent including the special effects and the cast was all great including, Michael Lombardi, Marc Menchaca, and Joseph Gatt to name a few.
"The Retaliators" will have a September 14, 2022 Worldwide theatrical release so be sure to check your local listing to see where it might be playing near you. This movie is pure joy for any horror fan and it will have you entertained all the way to the end and leave you wanting more.
