'The Severed Sun" is a slow moving folk horror with a lot of atmosphere and a very creepy creature that gets under your skin right from the start. The film also has a number of gory kills and a huge sense of dread.
This is Writer/Director, Dean Puckett' first feature film and he does a great job at creating the right amount of atmosphere and keeping the audience engaged. The entire cast did a great job playing their roles and Emma Appleton really stood out with a powerful performance.
