An ex-sharpshooter for the Kingdom of Korea (CHOI Min-sik, OLDBOY) is hunting the country's last tiger. But Japanese forces and vicious local poachers also seek "The Four-Legged Mountain Lord," and will stop at nothing to claim their prey.

"The Tiger" is set in 1925 when Korea is under Japanese rule, in order to break the will of the Korean people the Japanese leader orders all the country's tigers to be killed.

Chun Man-duk is a hunter in early 20th century Korea who lives in the mountains with his son whom he teaches to hunt. Chun wants nothing to do with the mighty beast but he is then selected by the Japanese leader to join in the hunt.

"The Tiger" is another remarkably well made Korean film with amazing cinematography and sound. The film has beautiful settings and the effects used in the film are superb, the tiger looks great and menacing. The story is simple on paper but there is a lot happening in the film and there are many different characters involved in the story because Chun is not the only one hunting the last remaining tiger, the Japanese have forces out and there are also local poachers as well looking to kill the tiger. There is Action, Drama, Adventure and even a little bit of comedy tossed in. There is also a nice amount of mystery to add to the tension and suspense.

The film runs two hours and 20 minutes long but believe it or not there is never any time to be bored because something is always happening and the main characters are very well developed. The action is swift and violent and the film does offer a bit of gore as well. Combine all that with a terrific cast that includes the always amazing, CHOI Min-sik and you have an epic adventure worth checking out. "The Tiger" is available now on DVD and Blu-ray with Special Features that include:
