I can't say for sure if fan's of mainstream horror are going to like or "get" "The Violent Kind" but I can tell you it is something you never seen before which is never a bad thing as far as I'm concerned. Billed as a horror film, but the story also dives into some science fiction and so much more, to go into a whole lot of details on what happens would only ruin the film for those waiting to see it because it is unpredictable and it goes outside the norm as far as the genre goes. A little slow at first but once the story gets going there's plenty of blood and gore to please any fan plus the sci-fi elements add a nice mystery to the proceedings. You have to give The Butcher Brothers a lot of credit for making a horror film that is different and for the most part it works really well. The cast did a terrific job in the film playing the sometimes off-the-wall characters and it's never a bad thing having the beautiful Tiffany Shepis in your film.

As much as I would like to write about certain parts of the film I will stop here so not to spoil it, "The Violent Kind" is a unique horror film that is violent, twisted and adrenaline filled so go into it with an open mind and I think you will find it to be as entertaining as I did.
