This is a must-see film for fans of Asian Martial Arts or just anyone who enjoys a good epic film. It is also nice to see such a great cast of Asian actors together, Jet Li is great back the genre we began loving him in and his acting is so much better than in his Hollywood films, he does a great job here in a role that is more demanding as far as emotions go, plus his fight scenes are incredible. Also it's great to see Andy Lau, I have always been a fan of his and he is excellent here as well showing all the right emotions as well as in a demanding lead role. The battlefield fight scenes are brutal, bloody and so well choreographed you think your watching it all for real, they are breath-taking. Like so many other Asian films like this the film is beautiful to look at and the story captivates the audience, this is one genre Hollywood could never reproduce. The DVD comes with an English dubbed track for those that don't like subtitles which should have more people picking this up and in return I think it will do very well with strong word of mouth, it also comes with it's original Mandarin language with English and Spanish subtitles. It is hard to go into detail about the characters or story without creating spoilers but the film does offer a great cast with strong, emotional characters and a story that grabs your attention from the start and doesn't let you go till the very end. Also as always it is a feast for the fights, an Epic in every sense of the word and a film not to miss. The Warlords is available on Blu-ray and DVD and both contain special features that include:
