A fashion blogger documentary turns into a Zombie horror nightmare when college students come face to face with the undead in Youngstown Ohio. Their only hope of survival is a former soldier turned zombie killer (Joseph Aviel) trying to protect them from "The Colonel" (Patrick Kilpatrick), a mercenary working for an evil corporation who developed the serum that causes zombie-ism.

I thought the film started off pretty well, the basic story line involves JoAnn who runs a fashion blog, as the film opens we find out she is about to shoot a documentary. They walk around town a bit and end up at the wake for Bobby, a local soldier who was killed in Afghanistan. while there they meet The Colonel and you know what trouble he brings by reading the synopsis above.

Like I said the first 15 or so minutes of the film show some promise but sadly the film goes down hill from there. Once we get our first zombie the party breaks up leaving a small group of people with JoAnn, hiding out they meet up with another team with cameras but these are ghost hunters, I am not sure why but I went with it. Before long they meet The Zombinator and yes he looks like The Terminator who knows what is going on and plans on saving as many people as possible.

The biggest problem I had with the film was that it never really goes anywhere, there is a lot of needless chatter about things that do not even matter and there is not enough zombie carnage. The film was shot on a very small budget so I am willing to over look a lot of the technical problems. The make-up work was not great but it was pretty decent all things considered and the acting ranged from average to really bad but again I was expecting that.

And lastly a side note on the DVD art work, it has a robot skeleton right on the front. Now I can understand it some what considering the film's title and all but The Zombinator is not a cyborg so the art work is very deceiving. So in the end I found this film to be more of a bore than anything else. I cannot really recommend this one but if you still want to see it you can order the DVD HERE.
