When a clever young girl traps Tinker Bell (voiced by Mae Whitman) and holds her captive, the other magical fairies must launch a daring rescue mission to set her free. But as Tink anxiously waits for her friends to arrive, she unexpectedly befriends her captor.
This may be the best Tinkerbell movie so far. The story is pretty simple and easy to take in, it's also a typical child's film tale, but it's told well and with beautiful animation. There's plenty of good humor for everyone to enjoy as well. The story is about Lizzy, a young girl whose father has little time for her. She is fascinated by fairies, whereas her father is caught up in facts and scientific research. Through a twist of fate, Lizzy meets Tinker Bell and they become fast friends. Tink sees that Lizzy's father is not giving her the love and attention that she needs, so she helps Lizzy put together a book of facts on fairies, thinking that it might appeal to her dad. Meanwhile, Tinker Bell's fairy friends go on a journey to rescue Tinker Bell from the human world, putting themselves in grave danger. The film is predictable but it's a kid's film first so you don't want anything too complicated here but the film does have good characters, animation that you normally see in a theatrical release and it has a fast pace. Children are going to love this new installment and parents are going to find it enjoyable as well. The Film is sweet, innocent, and stunning. A delightful tale that will appeal to the masses. The animation brings the fairies to life in an almost 3D kind of way. The voice actors are incredible, Mae Whitman, is perfect as Tink. Charming and sincere, she is conveys Tinker Bell perfectly. The talents of Kristin Chenoweth, Lucy Liu, Jessie McCartney, Raven-Symone, and a host of others make the film that much better. There seems to be less and less family-oriented films anymore so films like this one are always welcome. If you have children then this is another must-own title from Disney and even if you don't but enjoy the Disney films geared toward children then I recommend picking this up, I think you will find it as entertaining as I did.
