Wayne Gretzky (no relation) is a vampire who can't grow his teeth. His impotence began when he inadvertently killed Mary Lipinsky, the love of his life, 300 years ago. To take his mind off the pain, he teaches college history - who better? Attempting to regain his full power, he enlists help from his friend and colleague, Dr. Levine (Gary Cole). Nothing works until a new semester brings freshman Chris Keller. She's a dead ringer for Mary and they have a lurid affair, while rumors fly around the campus. But it all sours when he turns Chris into a vampire and her newfound bloodlust spins out of control in a bloody rampage, making the rumors a little too real.

"Vamp U" centers on college history professor Wayne Gretzky who just happens to be a vampire. Ever since he killed his one true love centuries ago he hasn't been able to grow his fangs(impotency for vampires). He confides in the college psychologist but things start looking up for Wayne when a new student, Chris Keller enrolls in his class. As soon as he lays his eyes on her his fangs begin to grow. It doesn't take Chris long to fall for Wayne and before you know it they are enjoyable each others company. But when Wayne accidentally bites Chris and turns her into a vampire things being to get messy because Chris takes an immediate liking to killing people. Now it is up to Wayne, a student who has a crush on Chris, his zany best friend and someone from the past to put an end to the rampage before it's too late.

To go on about what happens in the film would only ruin the surprises that awaits but I can tell you that "Vamp U" is one tasty comedy that tosses some action and a bit of horror into the mix. Each scene sets up the next gag or joke and I found myself laughing out loud through-out the film. The cast did an amazing job playing these over-the-top characters. Adam Johnson is both dorky and charming as Wayne and Gary Cole is drop dead funny as the psychologist and last but not least Julie Gonzalo is perfect as Chris, what a stunner she is. I only mentioned a few actors but the entire cast did an amazing job in the film.

"Vamp U" is an original comedy gem that hits the mark from it's opening scene to the very end. The jokes are all very funny and the performances are top notch. There's so much to like here that I really couldn't find anything wrong with the film other than I was sad to see it end. But I really enjoyed the film, it will have you laughing so hard your stomach will hurt.
