It's the eve of Halloween in Las Vegas and three enterprising young ladies are throwing a massive 420 gala. But little do they know, they're also going to unleash a freakish gaggle of party-loving nightmare-creatures from beyond. In the tradition of Empire Pictures classic horror comedy GHOULIES, the DEADLY TEN presents a new, original tale that's destined to become an instant Full Moon favorite. When a midnight scavenger hunt for a rare bud of weed known as the "Golden Nug" brings a group of party-hungry stoners to a haunted hotel, it seems like it'll be the greatest night ever. But when the enigmatic owner, Madam Haze, introduces them to the Weed-G-Board, they open a portal beyond our world, and unleash The Weedjies. This group of ghastly hysterical creatures has only one mission: Party 'till you die. Before Halloween night is over, the unwitting guests will have to fight for their right to party, and put The Weedjies back in the board - or end up sucked into the netherworld forever.
Full Moon is back with their newest film, 'Weedjies: Halloweed Night.' It is the First Feature from “DEADLY TEN” Anthology. The film is about four friends who get together to throw a Halloween party and scavenger hunt for the "Golden Nug." They hope to raise enough money for their school tuition and have some leftover to spend on themselves. Things start off great because they get a lot more party goers then they expected but the good times don't last long. When the Baroness just appears out of nowhere with a Weedjie board she convinces the girls to play a game but what they thought was fun turns into a nightmare when they release a group of evil creatures from the underworld. Now they only have until midnight to catch and put them back where they came from before they all end up sucked into the netherworld forever.
In the tradition of "Ghoulies" the film is entertaining from start to finish and it has an interesting cast that includes, The Howard Stern Show's Richard Christy and Medicated Pete, comedian Ester Goldberg, Instagram model Misty Mason, EVIL BONG franchise veteran Mindy Robinson, Playboy superstar Bridget Marquardt and internet film critic Shawn "Cool Duder" Phillips. Everyone in the film looked like they had a blast making it and there wasn't a leak link in the entire cast. One stand-out performance for me came from Victoria Strange. Not only is she beautiful but she is talented as well. I was more impressed by the fact that this was her debut and I look forward to seeing more of her soon.
'Weedjies: Halloweed Night' Isn't a perfect film and it is far from being Full Moon's best but it is fun. There are loads for jokes through-out the film some work some don't but I did find myself laughing several times. They creatures are also cool and fun. If there was one anything the film could have used more of it would be some better kills and more blood.
All in all I enjoyed this offering and I am glad that Full Moon is back with some new films.
'Weedjies: Halloweed Night' is cheesey, campy and just plain fun which is what I expected from Full Moon. Full Moon will premiere the rowdy monster comedy WEEDJIES! HALLOWEED NIGHT by Director Danny Draven on October 21, 2019. This is the first feature film to be released from the highly anticipated DEADLY TEN anthology and will be available exclusively on the Full Moon Features Channel and App, and Full Moon's Amazon Prime channel.
Fans who have followed the live production and ensuing post-production video updates surrounding Draven's magnum weird weed opus on the DEADLY TEN website, are in for a treat when they see this final, freak-out cut. If you are a fan you need to check this out.
